Angelique is a dutch lyric coloratura soprano ( soprano lirico-leggero). She started her vocal training at the age of 19 with the late lyric dramatic soprano Elizabeth Wrancher at UCF in Central Florida. Elizabeth Wrancher performed 28 roles in major opera houses throughout Europe, was the first amarican to win first prize in the coveted International music contest, acted and sung in 3 german movies and from 1953 to 1980 was a guest soloist with major orchestras in Germany and the United States. Her recordings are currently archives of the Salzburg Mozarteum Augsburg. In 1968 Elizabeth joined the voice faculty at the University of South Florida and in 1974 she left to develop a vocal program at the University of Central Florida where she remained 29 years, she also was an active member of the board of directors and advisers board of the Orlando Opera Company. After working with Elizabeth Wrancher Angelique's training continued in Rome ( Italy) with her dear friend the lyric soprano and Neapolitan Princess, Irma Capece Minutolo, who was married to the late King Farouk of Egypt and who in addition to her singing carreer appeared in several motion pictures such as young Toscanini staring Elizabeth Taylor and Fantozzi 2000. At the age of only 20 Angelique reached the semi finals of the International Pavarotti Voice competition in Modena. Angelique then followed in Verona for several years studying under vocal teacher Francesca Zinelli Gibin, the wife of the distinguished late Brazilian tenor Giovanni Gibin (Joao Gibin) and was musically studying under Luciano Mandara, the pianist of the Conservatory and world famous Arena of Verona. During her stay in France she studied with reknowned Composer, Orchestra Director and the Director of the Conservatory in Perpignan, Daniel Tosi. Whilst living on Mallorca studies continued under the Warschau Orchestra Director Antoni Gref, as well as the vocal teacher Dolores Caldea in Barcelona. Additional teachings were given in Vienna, Austria by the internationally well known coloratura Sylvia Gezsty after participating in her Masterclass in November of 2005. From 2008 untill in 2015 Angelique worked together with Rafael Nadal Senior who was a highly respected and distinguished member of the Mallorquin society and an Orchestra Director as well as an accomplished classical pianist and the Grandfather of the tennis player Rafael Nadal.
She featured as a cast member in 2010 and 2011 in the famous Gala Dinnershow “ Dreams live ” of Wentink Events and RTL. She has also collaborated and produced songs with some of the best Dutch artists such as Gordon and the Angels. She is regarded by many as one of the finest Opera talent Holland has produced.
